Virginia Water Photography – Natalie and Owen are getting married in Portsmouth cathedral in a few months and I’m very excited they have chosen me to be their wedding photographer. I love a cathedral wedding! My last cathedral wedding was in St Albans – you can take a look at my wedding blog post here.
To help Natalie and Owen get used to being photographed they booked me to do a pre-wedding/engagement photoshoot. This was, in my totally unbiased view, a fabulous idea! We did the shoot around Virginia Water Lake, which is a beautiful spot in Berkshire at the southern edge of Windsor Park (and conveniently for me it’s only about 7 minutes for my home in Englefield Green!). We chose October for the shoot which worked really well – the autumn colours were a fabulous backdrop.
Natalie and Owen are not the world’s biggest fans of having their photo taken…but you wouldn’t have known it! They arrived beautifully dressed (I had major envy for Natalie’s boots!) and, even better, they brought their super cute dog Percy! I love it when couples bring their dog to a photoshoot because they can be a great distraction for people who don’t love being in front of a camera! I’m happy to try and include any pets in engagement and family shoots…however I’ve found that cats are significantly less amenable to being included in family photos than dogs!
Percy behaved beautifully (as did Natalie and Owen, who are really cute together) and the shoot was a total joy. Here are a few of my favourites of the shots from the day. Can’t wait for the big day!
