Surrey Wedding Photographer – Daniel & Amy

Surrey Wedding Photographer – It’s not often I photograph two weddings at the same venue on consecutive days, but that’s exactly what happened here! Amy and Daniel’s wedding was my second Millbridge Court wedding in a row, which I was very happy about as it’s one of my favourite Surrey wedding venues. It’s in Frensham, near Farnham, and is a lovely mix of stylish interiors and beautiful outdoor spaces, so there are loads of options for photos whatever the weather. It also has a really relaxed feel, which makes it a fabulous wedding venue. I was only at Millbridge for six hours for this booking, so it was a shorter wedding day than normal for me, but there was still plenty of time to get lots of lovely photos and capture all the important bits.

Amy and Daniel have a particularly lovely love story. They met on their graduation day and then spent the next seven years doing a long-distance relationship. Seven years! So there was something especially beautiful about seeing them finally get married and knowing that they’re now living together for good. I imagine after all that time travelling between each other, being able to come home to the same place must feel pretty wonderful. There was lots of love for Amy and Daniel and it was lovely seeing them surrounded by their family and friends.

And the flowers! They were absolutely stunning. Steph Lovell Flowers did a beautiful job and they fitted the venue perfectly.

The ceremony took place outside and was a Christian ceremony led by a family friend, which made it feel particularly personal. There were some wonderful hymns too, which I don’t often hear at non-church weddings and they were lovely. There happened to be some very talented singers amongst the congregation, and the hymns were accompanied by a string duo, which made the whole thing feel really special.

The weather was perfect again too. After the heat we’d had recently, it was lovely to have another day that was sunny without being too hot. Millbridge Court’s outdoor spaces were looking beautiful in the sunshine and it was a great setting for the ceremony.

After dinner and the speeches, Kalm Kitchen brought out a brilliant display of mini puddings for everyone to help themselves to. It looked amazing and was a very good idea! Much easier than having to choose just one dessert when there are lots of little ones sitting there looking tempting.

And then it was time for a ceilidh. I always enjoy photographing ceilidhs because there’s usually a lot going on – people concentrating very hard on remembering which way they’re supposed to go, people who clearly know exactly what they’re doing and people who are just enthusiastically joining in and hoping for the best. Amy and Daniel’s was no exception, and it was a really fun way to finish the day.

Huge congratulations Daniel and Amy, thank you for asking me to capture your wedding day for you.

Love Sarah x
