Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer – Reece and Amelia’s September wedding at Micklefield Hall was such a lovely, fun day. We were really lucky with the weather, and the whole day had a brilliant atmosphere from the start, helped by the fact that they had such a lively bunch of friends and family who were very much up for enjoying themselves.
Micklefield Hall is one of my favourite wedding venues. It is in Sarratt, Hertfordshire, just outside Rickmansworth. It’s a really lovely combination of beautiful gardens, the old Great Barn and lots of different spaces to use throughout the day, so there’s plenty to photograph without it ever feeling like you’re all in one place. The outdoor ceremony area by the pond is particularly lovely, and that’s where Reece and Amelia chose to get married.
They both grinned their way through the ceremony, which set the tone for the rest of the day! There was a really relaxed feel to everything, with lots of laughs and plenty of time spent enjoying themselves with their friends.
Amelia had gone for comfort as well as style, wearing trainers throughout the day, which I fully approve of! She also changed into a very cool short dress for the evening, which was perfect once the dancing started. And there was a LOT of dancing.
This was a crowd who clearly knew how to have fun, and the dance floor was busy for pretty much the entire evening. I love weddings like this where you can just tell that everyone is completely invested in having a brilliant time. There was loads of energy, lots of big smiles and some very enthusiastic dancing.
It was such a fun wedding to photograph, and Reece and Amelia were an absolute joy to spend the day with. A really lovely September day at one of my favourite venues. Congratulations A&R!
