Northbrook Park Wedding Photography – Ellie and Abs’ wedding at Northbrook Park was absolutely packed with fun and I loved every moment! There were lots of lovely guests – Ellie and Abs’ very loving and warm families plus a huge number of friends, so there was a lot of laughing, hugging and the odd happy tear too.
Northbrook Park is just outside Farnham, on the Surrey/Hampshire border, and is a really lovely wedding venue. It happens to be 10 minutes from the village I grew up in, and I’ve been photographing Northbook Park weddings for 15 years so I’ve got lots of happy memories of it. It’s set in 120 acres of countryside, with an old manor house, beautiful gardens and lots of different spaces to use throughout the day. It works particularly well for weddings with different parts to the day, as there are plenty of places to move between without everything feeling like one big room.
Ellie and Abs started the day with their civil ceremony, which was followed by drinks in the Nun’s Garden. It was lovely to see everyone relaxing and catching up, and there was plenty of time for photos. The wedding party also fitted in a quick outfit change!
Then it was time for the second ceremony, a Hindu ceremony which brought in Abs’ family’s culture and traditions. It was a really warm and personal part of the day, and having the two ceremonies made the whole celebration feel very much about both Ellie and Abs and their families.
After more drinks, everyone headed in for an amazing Indian feast from La Freshco. There was a brilliant atmosphere in the room, helped along by some very funny speeches, and then the serious business of dancing began.
And there was A LOT of dancing. The dance floor was absolutely full and everyone seemed determined to make the most of it. One of my particular highlights was Ellie’s dad enthusiastically having a go at some Indian dancing!
It was a really wonderful wedding to photograph. Lots of people who clearly adore Ellie and Abs, two families coming together, plenty of culture and tradition, and a huge amount of fun in between. Huge congratulations to the gorgeous newlyweds!
