De Vere Latimer Estate Wedding Photography – Emma and Tom’s wedding at De Vere Latimer Estate was such a fun one to photograph. Set in the Buckinghamshire countryside near Chesham, the venue combines a grand country house with beautiful grounds and views over the Chess Valley. As a wedding venue, it’s fantastic for photography too – loads of lovely natural light indoors, gorgeous outdoor spaces and plenty of spots for portraits without having to wander too far.
The morning preparations were fabulous from the start. Emma got ready in one of the bridal suites, which had beautiful light pouring in, making life very easy for photos. The atmosphere all morning was brilliant and her bridesmaids were absolute stars, helping everything run smoothly and keeping the energy high all day long.
Thankfully the weather behaved, although the wind definitely made itself known throughout the day! Emma and Tom had their ceremony outside on the lawn, which looked gorgeous, and there were two lovely readings that made it feel really personal.
Afterwards came confetti, drinks, hugs, plenty of chatting and a crisp wall, which proved very popular (particularly with me!). We snuck away for some photos while everyone enjoyed themselves, making the most of the grounds and somehow avoiding being blown away by the wind.
Dinner was delicious, followed by some absolutely gorgeous golden-hour drinks outside. The light was beautiful and everyone was making the most of the warm evening. One thing I noticed all day was that there seemed to be a suspiciously high concentration of ridiculously good-looking guests. Honestly, I don’t know how they managed it.
Then the dancefloor opened and completely went off. There was no shortage of energy, and I think that’s really what made the day so special. Emma and Tom brought so much fun, warmth and enthusiasm from the minute I arrived until the final songs. That’s the secret to a brilliant wedding – couples who throw themselves into it and enjoy every second. They were fantastic all day, and it was such a pleasure to be there to capture it all.
