Hampshire wedding photographer – This was such a fun wedding to photograph! Sarah and Paul knew each other back when they were students, but their lives went in different directions. In a super romantic and lovely twist of events they have ended up back together and tied the knot a couple of weeks ago. They looked absolutely delighted all day and it was a real pleasure to capture this truly joyful day for them.
It was a really lovely local wedding. Sarah and Paul both got ready in their charming cottage in Dogmersfield, but in separate parts of the house so they didn’t spy each other before the ceremony. There was a lot of excitement, the atmosphere was wonderful. We were all very happy that despite the poor forecast the weather was glorious and sunny.
Dogmersfield is a really cute village in Hampshire (near Fleet) and I loved how everything was so close that guests could walk between venues. Guests started the day with a drink (or two) at the village pub (the charming Queen’s Head), then walked down the road to All Saints Church. I say walked, but some of them lingered a little too long in the pub so I spied a few people having to jog the last few metres to get into the church before the bride!
Sarah arrived at the church in style in her friend’s beautiful old American classic car (I’m afraid I’m very ignorant about cars so I don’t know any more details beyond the fact it looked super cool!). The ceremony was lovely and relaxed, and was followed by an exuberant confetti walk. After that, guests walked back to the pub whilst Sarah, Paul and I took a few photographs in the pretty field next to the church.
The wedding reception was a fabulous relaxed affair at the Queen’s Head. Guests ate, drank and laughed in the sunshine. It was heavenly. Huge congratulations Sarah and Paul, thank you so much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer!
