Wotton House Wedding Photography – Ali and Lewis’ wedding was such a treat to photograph! Ali got ready at her family home with her sister and parents, which made for a lovely, relaxed start to the day. From there it was just a short trip down the road to St Peter and St Paul Church in West Clandon for the ceremony. The vicar was absolutely lovely (always a bonus for a wedding photographer!) and the singing was wonderful – you could really feel the joy in the room.
After the confetti and hugs, the guests hopped onto a vintage bus and made their way over to the reception at Wotton House. It’s an absolutely stunning Surrey wedding venue (near Dorking), full of history, with gorgeous gardens and elegant spaces inside.
The weather was on our side – cloudy but bright, which is lovely flattering light for photos. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés outside while we snuck off for some portraits, and everyone was so warm and friendly, which made my job extra easy.
The speeches were a real highlight – the best man (Lewis’ younger brother) did particularly well. His speech was hysterical but also really touching, lots of tears were shed in the audience! Ali and Lewis themselves were such a joy – relaxed, laughing their way through the day, and clearly so in love.
As the evening went on, the band Indigo Heights took to the stage and got the party started. They’re an incredible rock-y party band and had the dancefloor packed in no time – the perfect end to a wonderful day.
Huge congratulations Ali & Lewis! Wishing you all the best in your life together.
