Chenies Manor Wedding Photography – Leah and Nick’s wedding day was such a joy from start to finish, I absolutely loved it! Everything began in Ruislip, with Leah getting ready at her parents’ home while Nick was just a few minutes away at their own place. I love when prep happens so close together – it gives the morning such a cosy, community feel.
Leah and her bridesmaids looked incredible. The girls each wore different coloured dresses, which worked so beautifully together. When the bridal party set off on foot to St Martins Church, it was like a little parade. Neighbours and friends lined the streets, waving and cheering them on like celebrities!
A highlight of the morning was something I’d never seen before: personalised wedding newspapers written by Nick. They were brilliant! Guests loved reading them before the ceremony, and it was such a thoughtful, entertaining touch that I’m sure people will treasure. Plus they made for some great photo ops!
The church ceremony itself was lovely – full of joy and happy tears. And of course, Leah and Nick were just delightful – so loved up, with Leah flashing her incredible smile all day long. Afterwards, everyone spilled out into the sunshine before hopping aboard a classic old red London bus to the reception. It was such a great way to travel in style.
Chenies Manor House was the perfect setting for the rest of the celebrations. It’s always a treat photographing weddings there – somehow, every time I visit, the sun shines, and this day was no exception. The gardens were showing off in all their glory, with the famous dahlias in full bloom, creating a stunning backdrop for photos.
Dinner was a real showstopper too – a South African BBQ, but done properly fancy. Everything was delicious, and guests were raving about it all evening. And as if the day hadn’t already been perfect enough, we were treated to the most spectacular sunset. Chenies is perfectly situated for golden hour, and we made the most of it – dreamy photos galore.
Leah and Nick’s wedding was one of those days that felt warm, personal, and full of love from start to finish – a true reflection of them as a couple.
