Phew – what a scorcher! Ashton and Tim tied the knot on an absolutely roasting summer’s day at the always-beautiful Micklefield Hall, and it was wonderful to photograph.
The ceremony took place outside by the temple and pond, which is honestly one of my favourite ceremony spots anywhere. The setting is just magical. Ashton and Tim wrote their own wedding vows and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place (the photographer might or might not have had to crouch down and wipe away her tears with the hem of her dress!).
This wasn’t just a wedding day – it was also a very special little someone’s birthday! Ashton and Tim’s gorgeous daughter turned one, and she was such a superstar all day. We even squeezed in a cake smash for her which was, naturally, adorable.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed drinks and lawn games in the sunshine, and there was even mini golf and a glittery photo booth for extra fun. Food-wise, the day was a total treat – with delicious offerings from Kalm Kitchen, plus some super tasty Caribbean food and pizzas served up later. Perfect fuel for the dancefloor!
As golden hour rolled around, we snuck off for some couple portraits in that dreamy soft light. We even did a champagne spray, which was a fabulous, fizzy (and slightly damp!) highlight of the evening. I always love ending wedding photos with something a bit fun, and these two really went for it!
Ashton looked incredible – super glam but totally relaxed, and Tim looked very dashing too. They’re such a lovely pair and it was a joy to capture all the love, laughs and happy tears.
Big congrats Ashton and Tim – and happy birthday again to your little superstar!
