I was back at the beautiful Micklefield Hall (one of my all-time favourite venues and where I’m lucky enough to be the recommended photographer) to photograph Fiona and Paul’s wedding – and what a day it was!
I first met this lovely pair at the wedding of Paul’s best man Matt, when he married the gorgeous Shannon in Oxford last year – you can have a little peek at that fab day here. It was so lovely to catch up with some familiar faces and to see everyone again.
Fiona and Paul are just such warm, smiley people – they didn’t stop beaming all day long, and their happiness was completely contagious. The forecast had been looking pretty grim (classic British summer), with wall-to-wall rain predicted, but somehow we dodged it. We managed all the photos outside with no issues, and the heavens only opened as we headed in for dinner – talk about timing!
The whole day had such a relaxed, joyful feel to it – lovely people, lots of laughter, and a few very happy tears. Oh, and the dance floor? Absolutely heaving from the word go. I love it when everyone throws themselves into the party – so much fun to capture!
