Alex & Aidan’s spring wedding feat. stunning black wedding dress!

Millbridge Court wedding photography – I have been excited for this wedding for months! Partly because it was my first wedding of the year (yay!), but mainly because I knew how awesome it was going to be. Alex has green hair, wore a black wedding dress and looked absolutely incredible! I really love all my ‘white dress’ weddings but oh boy is it fun to photograph a different look!

Alex and Aidan’s wedding was on a beautiful spring day. Spring is already my favourite season of the year (the blossom and daffodils emerging after a long cold winter always makes my heart so happy!), so adding a wedding and some sunshine to a spring day  is the icing on the cake. On sunny days in spring the sun is lower than in summer, making it softer and more lovely (think extended golden hour).

Aidan and Alex are a wonderful couple and their wedding was amazing. They did the whole wedding their way which I loved. I think it’s fabulous when couples change or throw out customs that don’t suit them – it’s their day after all! At most of my weddings the couple see the registrar for their pre-ceremony meeting separately, but A&A did it together. We did a private ‘first look’ (when the bride and groom see each other for the first time before the ceremony), which was very emotional. Alex’s dad escorted her to the top of the aisle, then she walked herself down the aisle. And to allow for a more relaxed evening they ditched speeches (apart from a quick welcome toast) and the traditional first dance.

I loved the team of suppliers that Alex and Aidan chose for their wedding day, with lots of us knowing each other well as we’re on the Millbridge Court recommended supplier list. Here are some of the fab team:

Huge congratulations Alex and Aidan!
