Corporate Event Photographer – Micklefield Hall is a stunning event space in Hertfordshire, near Rickmansworth. It is within the M25 (just!), so very handy for London but with 350 acres to utilise it feels like your own country estate for the day. It is very popular for weddings, as a film location and also as a setting for corporate away days.
I visit Micklefield Hall a lot for weddings, and it was a joy to return on a beautiful summer’s day to photograph a senior leadership team’s corporate away day. Sadly I can’t share any of my photographs of company members enjoying the fun day, but Micklefield Hall looked so fabulous and the day was such a joyous day I thought I’d share a few photos of the set up and the staff that made it happen!
Throughout the day there was a fantastic array of food options provided by luxury caterer Kalm Kitchen. As guests arrived there were food and drinks stations laid out on the terrace, including a taco bar. Guests then took part in a series of activities on the lawns, including duck herding, axe throwing and archery. I’ve photographed a lot of different things in my 16 years of photography but duck herding must be one of the most bizarre and fun activities I’ve shot!
After team awards it was time for drinks and canapes in the Rose Garden, followed by a sit down meal and speeches in the Great Barn. The weather was spectacular, so the dessert course, a patisserie bar, was set up on the terrace. It was an excellent day and everyone seemed to have a marvellous time.
