Hertfordshire Church Wedding – Emma and Rob

I’m happy to share some photographs from Emma and Rob’s beautiful wedding. We might have had typical British August bank holiday weather (i.e. rain!) but Emma and Rob looked ecstatic all day so it didn’t matter a jot! I sometimes advise people that a bit of rain is not going to ruin a wedding day but a grumpy bride or groom might do…but no such warning was needed here. As soon as I entered the bridal preparation room and saw Emma’s radiant smile I realised nothing was going to put a dampener on the happy day!

Emma and Rob got ready at Micklefield Hall (a stunning Hertfordshire wedding venue) and had their ceremony just down the road in the beautiful Holy Cross church in Sarratt. This is the church in which Emma’s parents got married, and where she was christened! We travelled there in a beautiful vintage bus, which was fun and took a brave driver on some of the narrow country roads! After the ceremony and a very quick confetti run (the heavens opened just as we started!) it was back to Micklefield Hall for the wedding reception.

I am lucky enough to photograph a lot of weddings at Micklefield Hall and one of the many (oh so very many!) things I love about it is there are good rainy wedding day options. We took most of the group photographs in the pretty fireplace area. We were then very lucky and the weather dried up, meaning we could take bride and groom photographs in the gorgeous grounds.

Here are some of the fab suppliers from the day:

Huge congratulations on your wedding, and wishing you a very happy marriage!
