Marquee wedding photography – Louisa and Jamie got married on a rainy July day and despite the weather the day was absolutely wonderful! I photographed Louisa’s niece’s wedding (hi Anna!) a couple of years ago, and I’ve worked with two of her wonderful children at Micklefield Hall so it felt like I was photographing a friend’s wedding! Louisa and Jamie have very close families and the whole day was incredibly loving and special.
Louisa got ready at her home in Chipperfield, a very pretty village in Hertfordshire. Jamie had pre-ceremony lunch with his wedding party at the Two Brewers pub, just down the road, the ceremony was in St Paul’s church in Chipperfield and the reception was at a marquee back at Louisa’s home. So, it was a lovely local wedding!
One of the highlights of the wedding for me was Louisa and Jamie not being able to take their eyes off each other during the ceremony. The ceremony was conducted by a friend of Jamie’s which made it even more special. I loved how Louisa and Jamie’s combined five children were watching happily from the front pews. And I loved how the ecstatic couple made a triumphant umbrella-ed exit to whoops from their friends and families, and set off to the reception in a beautiful Morgan. Other things I loved were the exceptionally good (and hysterical) speech from the bride’s kids and some slightly terrifying but very enthusiastically acrobatic dancing on the dance floor!
Huge congratulations to two amazing people and your delightful families. I’m so happy you found each other!
