Micklefield Hall Wedding Photography – Chris and Tami’s autumn wedding was absolutely beautiful! This year has been the most bonkers intense wedding season ever – because of the pandemic I’ve photographed more weddings in 4.5 months than I normally shoot in a year. My clients have been so resilient and amazing, rearranging their weddings (up to 4 times!) and ultimately putting on the most amazing day. Seeing everyone back together after so long apart has been incredible (and emotional…I’ve shed so many happy tears!). Chris and Tami’s wedding was my last wedding of this bananas season and it was such a great one to finish on.
I was impressed by the beautiful, calm atmosphere when I entered into the bridal preparation suite to photograph Tami and her wedding party getting ready. Everyone was very happy and relaxed, which was really lovely. I also took a few photographs of Chris getting ready with his best woman – one of the great things about getting married at a venue where everything is on site is that I can cover bridal prep and groom prep without needing a second photographer. When people ask about covering both wedding parties getting ready I always explain that I’m good and quick but the one thing I can’t do is be in two places at once! But when you’re getting ready close to each other it’s easy peasy, which is fab.
Chris and Tami tied the knot in a lovely ceremony inside the wedding barn at Micklefield Hall. Afterwards we stepped outside, blinking in the uncharacteristically gorgeous October sunshine! We got fabulous confetti photographs – Tami handmade the confetti from tissue paper and it was fabulous. Biodegradeable paper confetti is my favourite – it hangs in the air so much better than petal confetti. Although I do love all confetti – such a good photo opportunity!
The meal was by caterer extraordinaire Kalm Kitchen and it was delicious, as their food always is (and beautifully presented).
Huge congratulations on your amazing wedding Chris and Tami! I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
