Kew Gardens Wedding Photography – Alice & Henry’s Spring Wedding

Kew Gardens Wedding Photography – Henry and Alice got married at Kew Gardens, and what a stunning wedding it was! The day started for me in Balham, where Alice was getting ready with her bridesmaids. The atmosphere was impressively relaxed and prep went without a hitch. The bridesmaids wore lovely Two Birds bridesmaid dresses which are great because they can be tied in various different ways to suit each individual bridesmaid. I then dashed across London to Kew to meet Henry and his (many, many!) ushers whilst they were having lunch at the Cricketers pub. They then walked across Kew Green to the Nash Conservatory, where the wedding ceremony was to be held. My last Kew Gardens wedding had been at Cambridge Cottage, so it was great to experience the other Kew Gardens wedding option, a multi-venue wedding involving three stunning buildings – the Nash Conservatory, the Princess of Wales Conservatory and the Orangery.

The ceremony was lead by a lovely marriage celebrant called Maxine Beech and it was incredibly romantic and touching. The way Henry looked at Alice throughout literally brought a tear to my eye. I loved the ring warming element, and the singing by one of the couple’s talented friends, but my favourite part of the ceremony was a rousing rendition of ‘Hey Jude’ – spine tingling and heart warming! After the ceremony we all set off to the Princess of Wales Conservatory for the reception – some on foot, and some on the handy ‘Kew Explorer’ train/bus hybrid! Henry, Alice and I were whizzed round some of the vary many pretty spots in Kew for a few photographs before being dropped off at the Orangery, where the wedding breakfast and evening party were held.

Henry and Alice asked me to stay til near the end of the evening so I got to capture lots of the evening fun (including the best part of the evening – the ‘ties round the head’ stage!). It was an awful lot of fun. The band were amazing (sorry – I didn’t catch their name!) and the dancefloor was full all night.

To Lucy and all the staff at Kew Gardens – thank you so much for looking after us all so well. Caper & Berry your food was amazing, lovely to see you again!

Henry and Alice – congratulations on your marriage, I wish you every happiness in your future life together.
