Sussex Wedding Photographer – When I first started out as a wedding photographer 13 years ago (eek!) I photographed quite a few friends’ weddings. However, I don’t often get the privilege of doing so, so I was particularly delighted when my friend Sarah asked me to photograph her wedding to Rob. I’ve known Sarah for years and am over the moon that she’s found such an amazing man, from such a lovely family, to spend her life with.
Sarah and Rob planned an intimate wedding at beautiful Pekes Manor. Pekes Manor is a private country estate in East Sussex (near Halisham). Every guest had their own accommodation and the wedding celebration lasted several days. What a lovely way to celebrate your wedding with your nearest and dearest!
The weather was incredible – it was one of the hottest days in the UK since records began. Normally for English weddings we’re worried about it being too rainy, not too hot, but there were lots of fans and we were lucky that there was shade for most of the day. One of my favourite parts of the day was in the evening, just after the meal when the weather suddenly broke. It got noticeably much cooler (but still pleasantly warm), with a light breeze. Sarah and Rob’s awesome band played in the garden. Watching everyone dance outside on a refreshingly cooler night with a smattering of raindrops after a sweltering day was utterly joyous!
Sarah and Rob, you are amazing – wishing you and the boys every happiness in the years to come.
