Marquee wedding photography – Well, I don’t really know where to start on this wedding. As will become abundantly obvious from the photographs, it was THE most amazing day and I loved every second!
I started my day by popping into the Two Brewers pub in Chipperfield, Hertfordshire, to see Jack and his party enjoying a meal before the ceremony. Conveniently this was just across the road from St Paul’s church, where the ceremony was, so I could do a quick recce (and say hello to the ever awesome Andrew Fleming who was doing spectacular things with floral arches).
Anna and Jack held their wedding reception in a marquee in Anna’s parents’ stunning house, and this is where I joined her as she finished her hair and make up. It was a lot of fun to see her transformation (and I nearly squealed when I saw her beautiful flower crown – I love a bride in a flower crown!). There was a gaggle of little flower girls and pageboys getting ready too, and I just loved their beautiful, traditional outfits.
The ceremony was just down the road and it was conducted by a family friend. It was a really lovely ceremony, and I loved the music (and the fact that I wasn’t the only person moved to tears!).
Back at the house guests enjoyed delicious canapes and champagne. It was a very hot, sunny day, but the gardens were amazing and we found a lovely shady spot for the family photographs.
The meal was delicious, the speeches were funny and the band were incredible. A perfect English country wedding! Anna and Jack’s families are super lovely – huge thanks for making me feel so welcome. Alex I love your emails so we’ll have to find something to keep in touch about! Huge congratulations to the wonderful newlyweds!
