Northbrook Park Wedding Photography – Northbrook Park is a beautiful wedding venue near Farnham, on the Hampshire/Surrey border. It’s the sister venue of Froyle Park, another lovely wedding venue just down the road. It’s just a few miles from Chawton, where I grew up, and I always love going back to the area for a Northbrook Park wedding. They are always beautiful…and Neil and Jenny’s wedding was of course no exception!
Jenny got ready with her girls at the Frensham Pond Hotel and I was impressed with how calm the atmosphere was, even with two little flower girls around! It was then off to Northbrook Park for a really beautiful wedding ceremony. The registrars were a husband and wife team (aaah!) and were really good fun. Neil looked so delighted and proud as Jenny walked down the aisle that I couldn’t help but shed a tear or three (yup – it was another wedding where guests assumed I was long time friends with the bride and groom because otherwise why would I be crying?!).
I loved so many things about the wedding (on top, of course, of the whole gorgeous couple – inside and out, gorgeous venue, gorgeous guests thing!), one of which was the unconventional wedding party role allocation. The best man was Neil’s nephew, who is pretty much the cutest kid ever, and he did an awesome speech…ably assisted by the ‘Best Bird’. As well as bridesmaids there were also ‘Maids of Dishonour’ (although despite my encouragement I didn’t see any particularly dishonourable behaviour from them…hopefully there was some after I left!). Oh and I also love the fact that I discovered during the speeches that Jenny and I both studied at the same Oxford college (Wadham) – she started there just a couple of months after I left!
