Marquee wedding photography – This was a very special wedding for me to photograph because I’m friends with the happy couple. As well as being particularly good looking they are both very lovely people! I’m so happy they’ve found each other.
Kirsten looked incredible in her Suzanne Neville dress. She had a spectacular veil, which I loved, and I loved her evening look too. Off came the veil and on came a very on-trend bow made with fabric from her wedding dress alterations. Clever!
Ben and Kirsten got married in St Mary’s church in Saffron Walden, an incredible huge and light church that was a joy to photograph in. After the lovely ceremony and a few family photographs outside the church (in blazing sunshine) it was time to go back to Kirsten’s family home to a marquee reception in the garden. I love weddings held in family homes – there’s something special about making new memories in a home already stuffed full of happy family memories.
After drinks and canapes we ate a very delicious wedding breakfast. This was followed by speeches, which were a particularly touching and funny.
A huge shout out has to go to Michael G Moore who is the most incredible musician and one man party maker. He single-handedly can get hundreds of people dancing their socks off and loving every moment. I see a lot of full wedding bands that aren’t as incredible at filling a dance floor as Michael! I love the photos here from the end of the night – always fun to photograph the last dance as well as the first dance!
Hugest congratulations to the very lovely newlyweds!
