Wasing Park Wedding Photography – Emma and Philip’s spring wedding at Wasing Park was such a special day, full of warmth and laughter. The Wasing Estate is tucked away in the Berkshire countryside near Aldermaston, and it’s real a gem of a venue. It’s got everything – beautiful Grade II listed barns, stunning grounds, and for those who want it, the most gorgeous church just a short walk away. It is relaxed but classy, which is exactly why it’s such a dream for a Wasing Park wedding photographer.
Emma spent the morning getting ready in Kitt’s Cottage and the vibe was lovely and relaxed. It was lovely to see Sheri from Jen Fogerty’s make up artist team and Emma looked absolutely incredible. Honestly, I’ve been telling her for years she’d be a beautiful bride (she used to babysit my children, so I’ve known her a long time!), and it was an utter delight to be there and see just how right I was.
The ceremony was personal and beautiful, and the look on Philip’s face when he saw Emma (and his girls) for the first time was brilliant. After the ceremony and some enthusiastic confetti throwing, the drinks reception was exactly what you’d hope for on a spring day – sunshine, happy chatter, and loads of brilliant candid moments (including from the excellent magician who’s name I didn’t catch).
The food was incredible, as you’d expect from a Wasing Park wedding. The speeches were also a real highlight, really funny and heartfelt. Emma’s three brothers absolutely stole the show with an incredible song and dance routine. They dramatised Emma and Philip’s love story to the tune of Raye’s ‘Where is my husband!”. It was absolutely hysterical, the whole room loved every moment.
It was great to be working alongside Ash Videography always nice to share a wedding day with lovely videographers who unobtrusively capture the day. It was also a pleasure to meet the band (from Gecko Entertainment), especially the talented saxophonist who shared her biscuits with us!
Emma and Philip’s first dance was absolutely incredible! I knew Emma was a good dancer but turns out, so is Philip! The whole day was wonderful. Thank you so much for trusting me to capture it for you.
