Micklefield Hall Wedding Photography – This blog post is ‘part 2’ of my ‘best wedding photographs of 2022’ series (see part 1 here)….and it is also entirely crammed with Micklefield Hall weddings! That is because I photographed a crazy 20 weddings at Micklefield last year! At some venues that might feel like a lot, but it has been an absolute joy. There are so many beautiful spots for photography, I don’t think I could ever get tired of shooting there.
I was entrusted to shoot so many different weddings, which were all joyful and love-packed in their own different ways. Here you can get a little glimpse at all sorts of weddings, including British (check out the kilts in one particularly lovely Scottish one!), Indian and Jewish weddings. You can see photos from different options for where the ceremony can be – by the pond, barn or even the lawn. These weddings took place between February and October, come rain or shine – as you can see, Micklefield Hall looks stunning at every season!
It was a particularly special year as I was honoured to photograph the weddings of gorgeous and lovely event managers Abby and Lauren. HUGEST of huge thanks to them, plus Anna, Jamie, Julie, Annabel, Jenny and the whole Micklefield team for looking after me so well and being a dream to work with. Also thanks to lovely Charlotte, Lily and the Kalm Kitchen team for the delicious food (and sneaky extra portions!). Please note that I don’t pay Micklefield to recommend me, and they don’t pay me to say nice things about them…it’s just a bit of a mutual appreciation society!
The biggest thanks of all needs to go to my couples – each one made a huge decision to ask me to capture their day for them. I never take for granted what a leap of faith that is, and I feel so lucky that this enables me to carry on doing the job I adore year after year.
I worked with dozens of fantastic suppliers over the year, and I’m not great at keeping notes so I can’t list all of them…but here are just a few of the fab ones!
