Micklefield Hall Wedding Photography – I obviously do not have a list of all the things which make a wedding fabulous written down…but if I did have, this wedding would have ticked every box and more! The venue was the spectacular Micklefield Hall, which avid readers of this blog (do any of you exist?!) will know is one of my favourite wedding venues. It’s situated in Hertfordshire near Rickmansworth and Watford, and not far from London but it feels like you’re in the middle of the countryside. It’s family run by the incredibly lovely Anna and Jamie.
Emma and Brad, the bride and groom, were absolutely delightful. They both spent all day looking besides themselves with happiness, like they couldn’t believe their luck at having found each other. The forecast had been terrible but they were blessed with the most beautiful September sunshine you could hope for. I love a sunny autumn wedding – the light is so much softer, and therefore more flattering, than in high summer.
Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better the most incredible sunset appeared, very fleetingly. Micklefield Hall’s lovely Abby alerted me to it, and I ran to tell Emma that there was a sunset emergency and happily Emma and Brad were more than willing to spend 5 minutes grabbing a few sunset photographs.
There was a great team of suppliers at this wedding:
- Catering – Kalm Kitchen
- Florist – Andrew Fleming
- Photographer – Sarah Legge Photography
- Videographer – Spatz Film
- Wedding dress shop – Brides of Berkhamsted
- Hair and Make up – Jade Walker
- Menswear – Chimney Menswear
Emma and Brad – huge congratulations on your stupendously lovely wedding and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together!
