West Sussex Wedding Photographer – Oh what a lovely wedding! This was one of my first spring weddings of 2023 and it was fabulous. James and Fulva planned an awesome wedding combining an intimate wedding ceremony with a handful of guests, followed by a big wedding reception to celebrate their nuptials with a wider group of friends and family.
I joined Fulva early on her wedding morning as she got ready with her family at Rumbolds Farm. Rumbolds farm is a beautiful family run 16th century wedding venue in Plaistow, West Sussex (near the Surrey border). I haven’t shot a wedding there for years so I was very happy to return!
When everyone was ready to leave, Fulva and her Dad were driven off in a vintage car (I’m terrible with cars…I should have noticed the make at least!), whilst James, the guests and I were transported in style in a vintage coach. I’ve not travelled in one before but it was wonderful – almost everyone we passed grinned at us as we drove by. It did make me feel grateful for the power steering in my car though – the driver certainly got a work out!
James and Fulva’s wedding ceremony was at Guildford Register Office which is a very pretty Surrey registry office a little out of the centre of Guildford. I loved it – James and Fulva didn’t stop grinning during the whole ceremony (which is always a good sign!).
Back at Rumbolds it was time for a light lunch, toasts (drink toasts not food toast), photos and a bit of a break. In the early evening more guests arrived for a champagne reception, followed by a very delicious meal (including risotto – I love risotto!). The day finished with speeches and a lot of dancing. Perfect!
I didn’t get details of any of the other suppliers apart from the talented florists…but I’ve mislaid their card…so get in touch if you’d like me to add your details (the spring flowers were locally grown and absolutely gorgeous!).
