Gate Street Barn Wedding Photography – Gate Street Barn is where I photographed my first wedding as ‘Sarah Legge Photography’ and I have a huge soft spot for it, so I always love it when I’m asked to photograph another Gate Street Barn wedding. It is a beautiful exclusive use wedding barn in Surrey, near Guildford and the staff are amazing (hi India!).
There are lots of different rooms available on site, which is great because it means I can cover both the bride and the groom getting ready on their wedding morning without needing a second photographer. Darren got ready in the awesome, recently refurbished Old Dairy, which is a really cool space for a groom to hang out in with his wedding party. Charlotte and her girls got ready in the bridal room and one of my highlights of the whole day was the reaction of her bridesmaids as they saw her in her wedding gown for the first time (there was a lot of happy squealing!). Her Dad’s reaction was lovely too – there were tears, which set off half of the room (me included…I must have cried happy tears 4 or 5 times during this amazing day!).
The ceremony was conducted by the very lovely Natalie from Rose and Grace Ceremonies. After the ceremony the newlyweds and I went outside for some bride and groom portraits, whilst the guests got ready to bombard them with confetti!
