Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer – OMG I’ve been looking forward to this day!It was my first ‘non micro’ wedding in nearly 18 months, and boy was it a good one! Leyla and Adam were waiting a while for this day…in fact, it was their 5th wedding date. It was definitely worth the wait.

Leyla and Adam got married at Micklefield Hall, which is one of my favourite wedding venues. It’s brilliantly located, in stunning Hertfordshire countryside in the pretty village of Sarratt (near Watford and Rickmansworth), and you’d never realise it was quite so close to London. The staff are absolutely divine, and the catering is by Kalm Kitchen whose food is as delicious as it is beautiful.

Leyla got ready in the Micklefield Hall bridal suite where everything was remarkably calm! I particularly loved her shoes – they were hand painted by Catherine Tyler Prady at Shoodle Cat (via Etsy) with Alice in Wonderland designs. 

Leyla’s father walked her down the beautiful long grass aisle and she and Adam tied the knot in the lovely temple by the pond. This is one of the prettiest spots I know of to get married.

The weather has been all over the place for the past few weeks, but Adam and Leyla were blessed with a dry and mild day, so guests (especially the littlest ones) enjoyed spending lots of time outside, before and after the wedding breakfast. The sun even came out in time for a pretty sunset.
