Gate Street Barn Wedding Photography – Gate Street Barn is a beautiful wedding barn in the Surrey hills, just outside Guildford. I’ve been shooting weddings there for 10 years now and I’m always very happy to return!
Alex and Adam had a few issues to deal with on the morning of the wedding, including a pesky power cut, but they remained cheerful and sunny throughout their lovely wedding day. The weather was typically British with a rain showers scattered throughout the day but we were rewarded with the most beautiful evening light – golden hour at its finest! Although I normally do some couple portraits during the drinks reception, on a sunny day my favourite time for them is an hour or two before sunset. People are often more relaxed once the meal and speeches are out of the way, and the soft golden light can be AMAAAAZING! Oh, and at Gate Street Barn that’s often when the cows come wandering nearby – I do love the GSB cows!
Alex and Adam put on a fabulous wedding. I loved the cricket touches – tables named after….actually I can’t tell you what specifically but I know they were cricket related (Cow Corner?!)! Plus delicious cricket ball cake pops made by a talented guest, and of course a spot of cricket in the garden after the meal. Alex looked stunning in her Pronovias wedding gown and the barn was beautifully decorated by wedding florist extraordinaire Gill Pike. The happy couple are perfectly suited and were surrounded by a lot of love from their many friends and family. Alex and Adam, huge congratulations on your wonderful wedding day!
