Surrey Wedding Photographer – I was so looking forward to Jeremy and Nikki’s wedding and it totally lived up to my (high!) expectations! I had photographed their friends’ Micklefield Hall wedding just two weeks earlier, and it was really lovely to see so many familiar faces having an awesome time again!
The Barn at Bury Court is a gorgeous wedding barn, just outside Bentley, near Farnham in Surrey. I love it as a venue…so much that I got married there 10 years ago! The grounds were looking stunning, giving lots of great photography opportunities.
The wedding day was absolutely perfect. Jeremy and Nikki are such beautiful people, inside and out. They were so relaxed and happy all day, and treated me amazingly. They heard that I LOVE canapes (I do – so much), and specifically asked the caterer to make sure I got some canapes. So, when the bride and groom canape tray came out there weren’t the normal 2 of each canapes, there were 4, so the videographer and I could have some canapes. AMAZING!!! Other moments I loved include the look on Nikki’s brother’s face when he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time, a very lively (and slightly smelly) game of beer pong, and the pure joy on everyone’s face as they surged onto the dancefloor after the first dance. It might have made me well up – there was just so much love and happiness in the room for Nikki and Jez.
The food was by the amazing Jacaranda catering and the mind blowing flowers were by the very talented Hannah Berry Flowers. Nikki wore a beautiful Grace Phillips bridal gown with a Nicola Anne jacket, both from White Lace and Butterflies. Her make up was by the lovely Olivia Mills. It was great to work with wedding videographer extraordinaire Ash and the nicest DJ ever, Patrick from Accolade DJs.
Congratulations again Jeremy and Nikki! Hope to see you very soon at a few of your friends’ weddings!
