Hampshire Wedding Photographer – Nick and Cordy’s wedding was an absolute autumn delight. It was set in Hampshire, in the beautiful New Forest at Master Builder’s House Hotel, which sits in the historic village of Buckler’s Hard. The area is steeped in maritime history It was once known for building ships for Nelson’s fleet, and it still has a magical charm with boats dotted along the Beaulieu River.
The wedding ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, full of emotion and warmth. The flowers were stunning, all rich seasonal tones and textures. They were by very talented florist Jessie Anderson and the decorations were Emma Cole from Ambience Venue Styling.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather. A crisp, golden, late-autumn day with soft light and a peaceful stillness in the air. We were able to get family photos outside, with the boats as a stunning background. Unbelievably, a rainbow suddenly appeared, and stuck around as we took some couple portraits down by the boats too. So lucky!
Cordy looked amazing in her Needle & Thread wedding dress, embellished with stars that shimmered beautifully whenever she moved. The lack of a train was a smart choice for an autumn wedding – the dress stayed pristine even while we pottered about outside by the boats, damp pathways and all.
The food was next-level. While the guests enjoyed their meal, I settled down for a little rest in Henry’s pub, the hotel’s perfect English country pub, which was the perfect spot to refuel and cosy up. At the end of the night I was encouraged (very lightly…it took very little persuasion!) to take home a colossal “brookie”, a fantastic brownie/cookie hybrid I now think should be a permanent part of my life. It lasted me two days and was unreal.
I’m so happy I got to capture this wonderful day. Nick and Cordy are an absolutely gorgeous couple, so perfectly matched, and it was a joy to be there to photograph it all. Huge congratulations to you both – I hope you’re still grinning your lovely big wedding day grins!
