Jewish Wedding Photography – Ellie and Charlie kicked off November in the most wonderful way with their big, joyful Jewish wedding at Micklefield Hall. It was one of those days where the forecast looked questionable all week, but the weather kindly behaved and stayed dry for most of the day. That meant we could make the most of Micklefield Hall’s gorgeous grounds, which were looking beautiful even in early November.
The day began with an intimate civil ceremony in the Garden Room. Just immediate family, a cosy fireplace, and the loveliest atmosphere. After a glass of fizz together it was onto full wedding prep mode!
The men gathered for a very informal Tisch in the groom’s room, which involved drinks, a few heartfelt toasts, plenty of laughter and that brilliant sense of anticipation that comes before a big Jewish ceremony. It set a lovely, relaxed tone before everyone headed into the Great Barn for the main event.
Ellie and Charlie’s ceremony took place under a beautiful chuppah in the Great Barn. It felt incredibly personal because Ellie’s cousin Dan conducted the ceremony, which was such a touching detail and clearly meant a lot to everyone there.
After the ceremony guests headed to the Orangery for drinks whilst I whisked the couple away for photos with their families, and for some couple shots around the grounds. The light was soft and flattering, the gardens were quiet and peaceful, and the two of them were just beaming.
The meal that followed was an absolute feast (thank you Charlotte and the Kalm Kitchen team!). The Function Band took things to another level, as they always do, with guests up on their chairs dancing before the meal had even finished! It set the tone for a lively, joy-filled evening and the energy never dipped once.
It was one of those weddings that felt full of warmth, tradition, celebration and brilliant moments from start to finish. An absolute joy to photograph. Huge congratulations to Ellie and Charlie!
