Micklefield Hall Wedding Photography – Wow, what an incredible wedding! I’m still smiling thinking about Tara and Mike’s day at the ever-beautiful Micklefield Hall (where I’m lucky enough to be a preferred photographer). It was one of those weddings where everything just flowed so effortlessly. There were joyful vibes, gorgeous weather (sunny but not sweltering – the dream), and a stunning couple who looked like they’d stepped out of a magazine shoot but were relaxed and happy all day long.
Tara looked absolutely radiant in her beautiful dress from Lucy Hart Bridal, with amazing hair and makeup by the super-talented Louisa Day. Mike looked very sharp too (I love a black tie wedding!), and together they were just such a dream to photograph – affectionate, joyful, and clearly totally smitten with each other.
Micklefield Hall really is one of those venues that has everything. The ceremony was by the temple. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings by the lakeside temple but it still takes my breath away, a real fairytale location. Drinks flowed in the gardens while guests soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed a drink (or two!). It’s such a treat working here – the grounds are immaculate, the team are lovely, and every single corner of the place is a photographer’s dream.
The entire guest list looked like they belonged in a magazine spread, such a good looking crowd! But more importantly, they were all full of warmth and love and totally up for a good time. The dancefloor was bouncing thanks to DJ Chris Benn.
The flowers by Fable Flowers were beautiful and as always, Kalm Kitchen kept everyone incredibly well fed with their delicious and beautiful food.
A special shoutout too to Sketched by Siena, who wowed guests with live drawings of the guests, which was such a fun touch!
