Pembroke Lodge Wedding Photographer – Pembroke Lodge is a beautiful wedding venue in Richmond Park. It is, I’ve just learnt, the only licensed venue within a London Royal Park. It is a very pretty building with gorgeous gardens and a stunning view over the Thames Venue. There are so many opportunities for great wedding photography!
Annabel and Koen’s wedding was a really fun and beautiful day. Annabel is English and Koen is from the Netherlands and the wedding was a fabulous hybrid of Dutch and English wedding traditions.
Annabel and Koen both got ready at the Petersham Hotel, a lovely hotel just round the corner from Pembroke Lodge. They met before the ceremony and shared a drink with their parents, then travelled to the venue together. I loved how their guests congregated outside Pembroke Lodge to greet them as they arrived at their wedding together. Such a joyful moment!
The wedding ceremony was conducted by a lovely bilingual wedding celebrant. As you can see from the photos there was a lot of laughter and love in the room. In honour of Koen’s love for planes, instead of being showered with confetti the happy couple were bombarded with tiny paper aeroplanes as they left their ceremony! Such a fab idea (if slightly scary!).
The whole wedding day was wonderful. I loved the Dutch tradition of little speeches and sketches being scattered throughout the day.
Annabel and Koen are a fabulous couple, beloved by a lot of people and you could really feel it in the room throughout their wedding. Huge congratulations A&K!
