Amersham Wedding Photographer – Kate and Josh got married at the start of September on a beautifully hot day and it couldn’t have been lovelier. Kate and Josh are gorgeous people inside and out, with lovely warm families and I had a fabulous day capturing it for them.
Kate got ready at her parent’s home in Old Amersham, which is where the wedding reception was, with a stunning marquee in the garden. As soon as I entered the house I knew from the welcome I got from Kate’s mum and her super helpful bridesmaids that it was going to be a wonderful day.
Kate and Josh tied the knot in St Mary ‘s church in Old Amersham, a very short walk across the fields from Kate’s family home. The ceremony was lead by super cool vicar Johnny and it was perfect. The newlyweds emerged from the church to cascades of enthusiastically thrown confetti. Guests then walked up to the reception whilst Kate and Josh and I popped to the Memorial Garden for some photos. I was gobsmacked – it was bursting with flowers and absolutely stunning!
There’s something really special about a marquee wedding reception in a family garden – the atmosphere was amazing. Guests had an incredible time drinking, dancing and laughing all through the night.
Huge thanks to my lovely and talented friend Charlie at Farlie Photography for second shooting with me. Also, a big shout out to the fab team of suppliers on the day who helped the wedding come together so beautifully.
