Northbrook Park Wedding Photography – Ella & Jack’s sunny summer Surrey wedding!

Northbrook Park Wedding Photography – I knew I wanted to photograph this wedding from the day I received Ella’s first email. Her surname is Kissin and I just knew that a Kissin wedding would be awesome! I was very right – Ella and Jack’s wedding was the most perfect sunny English country wedding you could think of. I started my day at Ella’s lovely parents’ beautiful home in the Surrey hills. There were pretty bridesmaids in every room! The atmosphere was very excited, which was heightened when the beautiful vintage car that was to take Ella and her father to

Best wedding photographs of 2016

Best wedding photography of 2016, by Surrey wedding photographer Sarah Legge – Oh my, what a fantastic year it’s been! There have been so many special moments – fathers moved to tears by the sight of their beautiful daughter in her wedding dress, a dog as page boy, a groom thrown high into the air during spectacular Israeli dancing, a bride whose veil nearly flew away into the Thames whilst crossing Tower Bridge in an open top London bus, 4 weddings in a row at the magnificent Micklefield Hall, a bride who wore three different wedding dresses (not at once),

Botley’s Mansion Wedding Photography – Louise and Richard

Botleys Mansion Wedding Photography – Botley’s Mansion is one of the Bijou Wedding group’s wedding venues. It is a palladian country house (and yes – I did have to look that up!) set in 30 acres of rolling Surrey countryside. It’s in Chertsey, so super easy to get to from London (and Heathrow, if you have many international guests jetting in to help you celebrate your big day!). Its very professionally run, and the food is amazing, so I love it (yes, I am slightly food obsessed!). Richard and Louise had a really stunning Botley’s Mansion wedding. It was a

The Barn at Bury Court Wedding Photography – Helen & Tim’s autumn wedding

The Barn at Bury Court wedding photography – As eagle eyed readers of this blog might have noticed (because I mention it every time!), I LOVE photographing weddings at the Barn at Bury Court!  It’s a perfect Surrey wedding venue – stunning converted barn, beautiful gardens, great staff and exquisite catering from Jacaranda.  Weddings at the barn always run smoothly and it’s a joy photographing in such a stunning venue. I was particularly looking forward to photographing this wedding, because I did a pre-wedding photo shoot in Richmond Park for Helen and Tim in the summer.  As you can see from

Wotton House Wedding Photography – Sadie & Sean’s stunning sunny Surrey wedding

Wotton House Wedding Photography – I photographed my first Wotton House wedding at the start of the year and was instantly smitten. The main wedding suite has been recently redone so it’s fresh and modern and, best of all, has a nice carpet. That might sound like a strange thing to notice unless you’ve looked for a country house wedding venue recently – so many stunning venues are let down by ugly carpets! So, well done Wotton House on a great carpet (well, and a great venue overall – the rest of the place is pretty lovely too)! The start of the

Surrey Wedding Photography – Amy & James’ Gate Street Barn wedding

Gate Street Barn wedding photography – Amy and James got married at the beautiful Surrey wedding barn Gate Street Barn at the start of August.  I photographed my very first wedding at Gate Street Barn way back in 2009 so I’ve always had a soft spot for it.  I’ve photographed so many weddings there over the years that it almost feels like coming home!  The staff are brilliant (lovely to see Lisa again…and Jane off duty in her cycling kit!) and always make sure the wedding runs like clockwork.  I knew from my brief chats with Amy and James that they were lovely
