Wimbledon Wedding Photographer – Amy and Douglas’ wedding was a total joy from start to finish. It was a pleasure to go back to Wimbledon – I lived just down the road in Wandsworth for 12 years, so the area still feels like home.
Amy and Douglas chose the Cannizaro House Hotel (now a Hotel Du Vin) for their big day and it was lovely. It’s set in Cannizaro Park and the weather was stunning (it doesn’t look like it in the photos but it was October!). Sunny autumn weddings are my favourites – the sun is low this time of year so it’s really soft and flattering. Heaven for a photographer!
Amy was lovely and calm as she got ready with her nieces, who were her beautiful bridesmaids. The look on her father’s face as he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time was fabulous – don’t think there was a dry eye in the room (this was the first of many tear provoking moments for me that day!).
Amy and Douglas are such a fantastic couple, it is clear they make each other truly happy, which was such a joy to witness. I particularly loved how they grinned at each other throughout the first dance. I also loved quite how enthusiastic the dancing was – a sign of how awesome the band were, as well as how much fun the guests were!
Amy and Douglas, thank you for being sweethearts and letting me capture your wedding day. Wishing you every happiness for the future.
Quick shout out to some of the talented suppliers for the day –
