Cain Manor Wedding Photography – Cain Manor is a beautiful 16th Century barn-style country house near Headley Down in Hampshire. It’s part of the Bijou group of wedding venues which is excellent as those guys know how to put on an awesome wedding (and their food is always incredible, which is, of course, very important!).
I love Cain Manor weddings…the last one I photographed was early 2020. Little did I know then that (thanks to Covid) it would be the only full size wedding I’d shoot in 2020! Talking of the dreaded C word, poor Claire and Dan had to reschedule their wedding several times – I actually first met them to discuss their big day way back at the start of 2019. I was so happy that I was able to photographer their wedding when it finally was able to take place. It was definitely worth the wait!
This wedding was incredibly stylish and I loved how Claire (and Dan…although I’m not sure how involved he was in the styling of the wedding!) really embraced the fact the wedding was happening in autumn. The bridesmaid dresses and groom’s party ties were a beautiful burnt orange colour which is unusual at the moment but surely must catch on as a trend – it looked so classy, plus it’s a really flattering colour for different skin tones. The flowers were stunning…this is where I get embarrassed about my lack of gardening and floristry knowledge. I can’t tell you much about the flowers apart from there was pampas grass involved, and everything looked autumn-y and incredible! Well done Sonning Flowers and stylists Linen & Lace.
Claire booked the Silver Service Singing waiters as a surprise for Dan (and the guests) and they were absolutely brilliant. They are incredibly talented, and got everyone up singing and dancing (and conga-ing!) after the wedding breakfast. After that, and before the first dance, the amazing Ben from Unbelievable Magic stunned the guests with close up magic (capturing the amazement on guests’ faces was a great photo opportunity!).
Huge congratulations Claire and Dan for putting on an absolutely splendid wedding. I wish you and the boys all the best for a very happy life together!
