Chelsea Old Town Hall wedding photography – The Kensington and Chelsea Register Office (also known as Chelsea Old Town Hall) is a beautiful Victorian building on the iconic King’s Road in Chelsea. Many famous people have got married there, including Judy Garland and Hugh Grant (not to each other!). Today I’d like to share the wedding of the very beautiful and lovely Holly and Will. Holly works for the amazing Kalm Kitchen (who have catered dozens, if not hundreds of the weddings I’ve photographed over the years), and it was a real honour to capture her marriage to Will.
This wedding was wonderfully relaxed and low key. Holly and Will got ready together and arrived by cab to greet their guests outside the registry office. They walked down the aisle together. The ceremony was perfect; Holly and Will didn’t stop grinning throughout. I’ve found a benefit to wearing a mask during wedding ceremonies – they soak up my tears pretty well! A tradition at Chelsea Old Town Hall is for the guests to line up on the steps outside so they are ready to throw confetti at the happy couple, which always makes some glorious photographs. I only covered the ceremony, but the bride and groom and their guests all jumped into cabs for a delicious feast at Holly’s beloved father’s house.
