Micklefield Hall Wedding Photography – As anyone who’s spent any time reading this blog will realise, I LOVE photographing Micklefield Hall weddings! It is a really special venue, run by the most amazing staff. I also love a Jewish wedding, so I was really looking forward to shooting Hayley and Paul’s big day.
I arrived at the bridal suite at Micklefield Hall to capture a few photographs of Hayley and her beautiful bridesmaids getting ready, before popping off to the mezzanine above the barn to photograph the men at the Tisch. I then captured Hayley getting into her absolutely stunning wedding gown…as you can see from the photographs, she made the most beautiful bride!
The wedding ceremony was conducted under a beautiful huppah set up on the lawn at Micklefield. The huppah has been used by lots of couples in the family, which is a lovely touch. The look on Paul’s face as he saw his bride for the first time was really special (this is one of my favourite moments of a wedding). A highlight of the ceremony for me (apart from, of course, Paul’s very enthusiastic glass smashing!) was Paul’s nephew’s starring role – he’s a really cool dude!
After the ceremony it was on to the drinks reception, where we took the opportunity to pop off for some couple and family photographs. After that it was into the barn for the wedding breakfast – after some AMAZING Israeli dancing! There was more dancing and speeches between the courses. The delicious food was by Philip Small (thanks for my scrumptious meal!). There was some beautiful golden evening sunlight so Hayley, Paul and I decided to take a few extra portraits on the lawn, which was really fun.
Huge congratulations Hayley and Paul – you are really the most lovely couple (and boy do you know how to throw a party!)!
