Grittenham Barn Wedding Photography – One of my first ever weddings (well, first as a wedding photographer) was at Grittenham Barn, so I’ll always have a soft spot for it. It’s a gorgeous wedding barn near Tillington and Petworth in Sussex. Angel Like Flowers does the flowers and she is incredible (I bump into her at lots of Surrey/Sussex wedding venues).
Matthew and Helen flew back from Australia to tie the knot on the August Bank holiday at Grittenham Barn. They didn’t manage to bring the sunshine over with them but it was still, of course, a beautiful day. One of the guests commented to me that they go to a LOT of weddings (I know the feeling!) but they’d never seen a ceremony as lovely as this one. Helen’s face just lit up as she saw her groom, and Matthew trying (and failing!) to hold back a tear or two was very sweet.
It rained for a lot of the day but we still managed to pop out for a few coupley shots, and a handy grain store came in useful for a few pics under cover! We did the group shots inside, which isn’t normally my preference, but Grittenham Barn has a lovely fireplace which worked well as a backdrop for some family photos.
The food was by Eat the Street and was delicious – the grazing station (instead of canapes/starters) was amazing (and Harriet was lovely!)! Oh and the amazing Mitch from DJ Inc needs a shout out for being as hysterical and awesome as ever.
