Jamie & Katie’s Skegness Wedding – Now what’s a Surrey wedding photographer doing photographing a wedding way up north (well, in relation to Surrey!) in Skegness? Simple – Jamie called me up 2 years ago and asked me to be his photographer, and he was so lovely on the phone I couldn’t say no! And aren’t I glad I didn’t – it was a gorgeous day. He used to be a wedding photographer so no pressure!
Katie got ready, amid lots of laughter, with her bridesmaids at her parents’ lovely home (with stunning views), then headed to Burgh-le-Marsh for a beautiful ceremony in St Peter and St Paul’s church. The ceremony was followed by probably the most confetti filled confetti walk I’ve ever photographed! It was really windy which played havoc with Katie’s veil, which was great fun for the photographs but possibly a bit annoying for Katie!
The reception was in the Brackenborough Hotel, but Jamie, Katie and I stopped off at Gunby Hall on the way from the church. Gunby Hall is a stunning National Trust house and gardens that you can borrow (for a fee!) for an hour for a few wedding photographs. The staff were really friendly and it was a stunning backdrop for photographs – what a great idea guys!
Huge congratulations on your marriage Katie and Jamie. Thanks for letting me be part of your wonderful day.
