Farnham Castle Wedding Photography – I grew up 10 minutes from Farnham but until my first wedding at Farnham Castle a few years ago I hadn’t even known there was a castle in Farnham. I’m not so ignorant now, and I was very happy to be asked by Zoe and Paul to photograph their big day…particularly as I had photographed Zoe’s sister’s wedding a few years ago. It’s always a good sign when a family asks you back to photograph another wedding (especially when there’s a third, unwed sibling in the wings…see you in a few years Jamie?!).
Zoe got ready with her bridesmaids at her mum’s house in the pretty Surrey village of Peaslake, and the look on her brother’s face as he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time was very sweet. They then made there way (a very very short drive!) to the village church, St Mark’s. The ceremony was lovely, and was followed by some very enthusiastic confetti throwing.
The wedding reception was held in Farnham Castle, which was looking glorious in the summer sunshine. The start of June is always such a pretty time for gardens in England, and the roses in the castle gardens were looking blooming gorgeous! As were other flowers but roses are practically the only flowers I can name.
I was lucky enough to sample the wedding food and it was absolutely delicious – the starter was a duck spring roll salad (which I’m sure had a fancier name!) and it was the nicest starter I’ve eaten in a long time!
Zoe & Paul – huge congratulations on your marriage and your wonderful wedding.
