St Etheldreda’s Church Wedding Photography – I do lots of summer weddings in the countryside (which are of course beautiful), but it was so lovely to photograph a winter wedding in central London for a change. Or is it still autumn?! It feels cold enough to be winter!
Kate and Andy got married at St Etheldreda’s Church, which is a Roman Catholic church in Ely Place, and it is absolutely STUNNING! I first photographed a wedding at St Etheldreda’s church a couple of years ago, and it was a joy to be back. The ceremony was at 4pm, and 4 o’clock ceremonies in the UK after the clocks have gone back can be problematic for wedding photographers because of the light (or lack of it!). However, it was perfect timing for Kate and Andy’s ceremony because the church looked so beautiful. The soft, warm lighting was really atmospheric, and, combined with the incredible singing from the church choir the effect was spine tingling! The ceremony was beautiful, and I was lucky enough to be able to stand up front to be able to capture the lovely way Kate and Andy grinned at each other throughout the service. After the ceremony it was straight downstairs to the Bleeding Heart Crypt for a wonderful wedding reception and party.
Congratulations Kate and Andy!
