Botleys Mansion Wedding Photography – Botleys Mansion is one of the Bijou wedding venues and it is absolutely beautiful! It’s a Palladian country house (or so it says on their website!) in Surrey, just outside Chertsey, which, happily, makes it about 15 mins down the road from me…I love a short commute!
I joined Emma and her bridesmaids and family at her parents’ house a few hours before the ceremony to capture some of the getting ready excitement, before the girls moved to the stunning Botleys bridal suite (with a handy hook for the wedding dress – it’s teeny touches like this that make me love some wedding venues!). The excellent Martin Hobby was second shooting with me, and he captured the boys getting ready whilst I focused on the girls. As you can tell, Emma looked absolutely stunning in her Pronovias gown. Patrick scrubbed up nicely too!
I love the staircase at Botleys – it’s fantastic for a grand entrance to your wedding ceremony, and to the wedding breakfast…although I know it can make people a bit nervous (navigating stairs in heels and a big dress can be tricky!). Emma of course managed it with aplomb. After a lovely ceremony it was outside for drinks, canapes and photographs. After the wedding breakfast we popped out for a few more photographs in some absolutely perfect golden hour light – heaven for a photographer!
Emma and Patrick – congratulations again!
