Millbridge Court wedding photography – OMG! What an absolutely stunning wedding! Graeme and Rich got married on an incredibly warm spring Saturday in April and it was the most perfect day. They’d picked the date because Rich’s great grandparents had got married on the same date 75 years ago. They’d even recreated (with the help of their talented and lovely florist Hannah Berry) his great grandmother’s wedding bouquet to present to her. So sweet! This was the first gay wedding I’d photographed and I’ve properly been looking forward to it for a year, so I was so happy when the big day rolled around!
I arrived with plenty of time to photograph the wedding party getting ready – six bridesmaids, two best men and of course the two very handsome grooms (full disclosure: I fell a little bit in love with Graeme and Rich during this wedding, so apologies if this blog gets a bit gushy). The very talented Hanna Wildman and Claire Pinkney were in charge of hair and make up for the bridesmaids. Millbridge Court is brilliant for getting ready in – there’s a window from the ‘getting ready’ room that overlooks the ceremony room (with a one way mirror so you can’t be spotted!) and it’s a lot of fun watching all your guests arrive as you get glammed up!
Graeme and Rich walked down the aisle together, before a wedding ceremony bursting with smiles and tears and a whole load of love. And that was just me! (Joke….although I have to say that I did shed quite a few tears during the day!). We then went outside into the warmth and sunshine (which was not forecast – I love it when that happens!) for a load of confetti and drinks in the sunshine, followed by the delicious wedding breakfast. Ooh and the table plan was Game of Throne themed which was very cool!
These guys are so thoughtful. They knew that my previous wedding had been the 200th wedding I’d photographed, and I’d joked about being sad about not celebrating it…so during the speeches they presented me with a cupcake with candles spelling out ‘201’! Totally the sweetest thing a couple has ever done for me.
It was a delight to work with a dream team of suppliers – super dooper hair and make up artists and florists as mentioned above, plus Rupert Ward Lewis, videographer extraordinaire and the ever perfect Kalm Kitchen.
Congratulations on the most amazing wedding – I know it’ll be the start of a wonderful life together. xxx
