I’ve really enjoyed editing these photographs – I’ve been smiling looking at them because it was such a perfect day! Jenny and David got married in the English Martyrs church in Reading, followed by a lovely wedding reception in Easthampstead Park (a Berkshire wedding venue near Wokingham). I started the day at Easthampstead Park with Jenny and her huge gaggle of beautiful bridesmaids (is that the right collective noun for bridesmaids? Maybe it should be a ‘giggle’…hmmm). She did a ‘first look’ with her bridesmaids which was something I’ve only seen a couple of times before. It was lovely – there were lots of gasps and tears (happy ones) at the sight of Jenny in her beautiful wedding dress.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful (and the priest stuck to his strict instructions to keep it quite brief!) and the priest remarked that Jenny was the most prompt bride he’d ever seen…she certainly was great at making the day run like clockwork! Once back at Easthampstead Park the weather was good enough to enjoy drinks in the garden. I popped in to take photos of the wedding breakfast room before everyone descended – it looked beautiful. All Jenny’s (and David’s?!) hard work had paid off. We had lots of options for couple portraits in the grounds – I particularly liked an old gate as a photo backdrop, plus the stunning long drive up to the venue. It was then inside for the wedding breakfast, fantastic speeches and a lot of dancing.
Congratulations on a lovely day – here’s to a lifetime of happiness together. x
