I absolutely love the Barn at Bury Court – it’s a perfect Surrey wedding venue. It is set in stunning gardens, in rolling countryside just outside Farnham, and the barn itself is prettier (and bigger) than a lot of other Surrey barns. I have to admit that I’m a little biased though – I got married there 5 years ago (at what was still the rainiest wedding I’ve ever been to…and I’ve been to a few!).
Nikki and Huw got married on a beautiful spring day, and the barn was looking incredible…helped by absolutely stunning flowers by Jay Archer Floral Design. I particularly loved the floral heart wreath on the register signing table. The bridal preparation was in the bridal suite at the barn, and Nikki’s little niece provided a great distraction from nerves…not that there seemed to be any. Everyone was impressively calm!
Nikki and Huw had a lovely ceremony, with a beautiful reading read in English and then Welsh (there was a bit of a Welsh theme throughout the day, with some healthy England vs Wales rugby banter in the speeches!). The weather was perfect for drinks and canapes in Bury Court Barn’s beautiful gardens. The canapes (and all the catering) was by Jacaranda, who were excellent…as ever!
I rushed off with the newlyweds for a few photographs in the grounds, and I was pleased that the beautiful yellow rapeseed field was still in full bloom…I’ve had a good run of yellow field pictures at weddings recently!
The food was brilliant, the flowers were perfect and the band (Roller Coaster) were fantastic. Oh and the photos aren’t too bad either ;). Congratulations on an absolutely stunning wedding day guys.
