Jess and Pete had the most beautiful, laidback and joyful Hampshire wedding, which perfectly encapsulated their lovely personalities. They tied the knot in Holybourne church in the lovely Hampshire village of (you guessed it) Holybourne, were pelted with bucket loads of confetti then drove off in their VW campervan. They stopped off at a sweet shop (where Jess used to go as a child) which was awesome – the girl behind the counter looked absolutely gobsmacked to have a real life bride in the shop!
The reception was held in Bonhams Barn, which Jess and family and friends had done an incredible job of transforming into an absolutely beautiful wedding venue. They had hay bales outside, roses suspended from trees and the most glamorous tents I’ve ever seen (complete with double beds!). Vintage bicycle decorated the barn entrance and inside was a beautiful tandem (provided by Vintage Wedding Bicycles). Guests drank champagne from vintage tea cups (all collected by Jess and co) and the best DIY wedding touch I’ve seen was the chairs. Jess had collected 120 chairs from the dump, not paying more than £5 for any of them, and upcycled them with gorgeous Annie Sloan chalk paint and new fabric for the seat covers. They looked absolutely incredible! She’s going to hire them out for weddings so if you’re interested let me know and I’ll pass on the details!
There were a bunch of beautiful page boys and bridesmaids who loved running around the grounds of Bonhams Barn, and played in the children’s tent all afternoon.
The whole day was wonderful – full of love and laughter like every wedding should be. Congratulations guys!
