I grew up in Hampshire (Chawton, where Jane Austen used to live, if you’re interested!) and being a regular on the A31 since moving up to Wandsworth I have driven past Northbrook Park hundreds of times…however I’d never actually been in until a couple of months ago until I went on a recce in preparation for Emma and Luke’s wedding. Well, what can I say?! It is the most incredible Surrey wedding venue. It has beautiful grounds with a lake and walled gardens and lovely light and airy indoors space (which is a dream for wedding photographers – the more natural light the better!). Oh and it has peacocks. A lot of them, and boy are they noisy….but beautiful! Although slightly scary at close proximity for a wimp like me!
Emma got ready at her mum’s home in Frimley Green, followed by a beautiful ceremony in St Andrew’s church. The vicar was fantastic (and praised by Emma and Luke for keeping the ceremony nice and short and sweet!)…but you’d have hoped he would have been as he was Luke’s dad! Aah, how lovely to be married by your father. After lots of celebratory hugs and bucketloads of confetti we drove off to Northbrook Park for the reception. Emma wanted to have a sunny country garden feeling to the wedding reception – and she wasn’t disappointed! The weather was incredible and everyone had a fantastic time. Congratulations guys!
